If betting odds are close to correct about Trump, the most
consequential thing for us traders could be Lina Khan at FTC
getting kicked to the curb. Not only has she blocked a ton of
deals, her known positions blocked many deals from ever reaching
the stage where the public would hear rumors about potential deals.
No question there will be an explosion of M&A activity next
year (unless they don't miss next time..which is what I keep
hearing repeated on social media by those disappointed by the
bungled attempt). Just have to think about all the possibilities of
a new FTC - winners and losers, etc. Picks and shovels approach
would be betting on the money center banks and maybe PE deals with
m&a focused law firms.

I worked 7 different SS Ops during my navy bomb squad time - 1
of them was a POTUS. None of us liked the SS assignments very much
because we had to wear suits and typically stick our hands in 100's
of toilets, crawl through false ceilings and ducts, etc.
Anyway, I can't see how it wasn't deliberate. Many of my
counterparts went on to Team 6 - most recently retired - all
concur.

Exactly. Completely unacceptable delay in engaging a known
target. It's not really even a question in my mind...just the
public getting led around by the nose by those who aren't experts
at anything but sowing doubts about facts. The SS sniper came
out and said he had the target in sight but the lady in charge
wouldn't give clearance to take him out.
*out of all I've posted on this subject, this is the only
thing that maybe fake news. It seems credible, but as a guy that's
been on an SS team for multiple ops, I find it hard to believe that
a sniper grunt communicated openly with the media. We're not even
allowed to talk about the good stuff that happens. Complete
taboo.
