Just thought of an innovation for the brokers that would both
create revenue and possibly improve outcomes for clients. How about
a pairs trade order type that actually tracks as a pair (like
complex option orders)? I would do more pairs trades to take
a shot at looks like this one (I like the thesis) but good luck
explaining that to clients and it wouldn't be associated in
statements (at least not that I'm aware of).
I know IBKR used to have a pairs trade app available in TWS,
but I seem to remember trying it and thinking it sucked (standard
for TWS). Maybe it does show up on statement if you execute it the
right way?
