Also was at resistance and interest rates working to catch up to the idea that there is no easing coming anytime soon. The delta between Fed dot plots and the futures market has been massive and is now simply contracting a bit (market coming closer to accepting the Feds rate projections, which also supports the dollars move higher today). 

I did not see the timing, but GFI was down a lot by 6a.m. I think before he spoke. He may have put the finishing touches on. Thanks Steve
