Steve - check out this stuff from Amazon - Johar Joshanda.
It;s about $8 for a 30 pack. Should really help with
chest,cough,throat. Magic ingredient is licorice root which
by itself it great but honestly this is probably the best thing
that ever came out of Pakistan...other than Kabobs. US
pharma wants the US consumer to have nothing to do with ancient
Asian cures...that fix has been in for a while but if you check out
the herbal remedy shelf space anywhere in the US or Costco - you
tell me.

Licorice root, absolutely. Get deglycyrrhizinated licorice root
(DGL) to avoid bad side effects.
From mountsinai.org: Licorice with glycyrrhizin may cause
serious side effects. Too much glycyrrhizin causes a condition
called pseudoaldosteronism, which can cause a person to become
overly sensitive to a hormone in the adrenal cortex. This condition
can lead to headaches, fatigue, high blood pressure, and even heart
attacks. It may also cause water retention, which can lead to leg
swelling and other problems.
