I learn a lot from your posts, along with other pro's here. The point I'm getting is you have to allocate funds, buy when on sale and hold while hedging at times. More often than not I take losses only to see they would have recovered over time. For small accounts like mine that can be difficult whilst I learned the hard way of over sizing in more risky investments.  However Best year trading due to BPT and SPY systems help.
