AMD ... Up 6+ % in A/H on earnings ... dumped them before the
close for a less than 1% loss ... didn't want to hold this into
earnings .... this can move a lot ... and many semis has been
slaughtered on earnings ... risk was too high for me as I
didn't have any proffit heading into it ... setup looked
really nice ... but this could be destroyed easily on a "flip of
the coin" type of event like earnings
that's one I held into earnings personally why? because it
wasn't a short term trade idea, I've held a running position since
Jan and had enough profit to gamble, plus I thought AMD might beat
because as you know I like the company now with their processors
that finally compete with INTC
comment on AMD, if it can break out of that pattern, your stop
would be the higher low. I still have a long term trailing
piece on it, so that's where my next stop would be if it were to
bust out of that pattern and establish a new higher low
