Hi everyone, I need to make a decision as to what I am going to
use for intraday charting. I am using TOS at the moment but have
been experiencing some buggy behavior of late and this has
motivated me to find something more reliable.
I will continue to use TOS for some of its features and big
picture Futures charting.
I need something straightforward and reliable with real-time
data for charting ETFs and stocks during regular US trading
hours.
I am considering Stockcharts with real-time data, TC2000 with
real-time data, Ninjatrader with Kinetick real-time date.
Any comments/recommendations about the above platforms would be
appreciated.
stockcharts is a must, also worth it for the members
articles. For streaming charts I have been using TC2000
but this is an experiment coming to an end. Its ok, but a
little buggy, and why not use tradestation? I'm planning to
re-open my old tradestation acct -- if you trade actively
or have a balance of over 100,000, the platform is free. I
prefer trading at IB, I think the fills are better and also short
stock availability, but itsd worth the effort to open a
tradestation acct for the platform, I think. PLUS, that's
what Matt and Steve use.
I recommend stockcharts, especially if you plan to be a
long-term BPT member. I always re-new or extend my stockcharts
account when they do their black friday/cyber monday sale prices. I
want to say 25-30% off the regular price. I've had stockcharts +
bpt for the better part of 5 years now and I'm very happy with
both.

IB data can be used with Ninjatrader, as well
