For those of you who use Stockcharts.com, I wrote a scan to find
stocks where the 60 Stochastic has recycled back to near 80% after
trending above it, and a faster stochastic has neared oversold
levels, in this trending market it spits back quite a bit, but
that's what you would expect, here's the scan logic, you can simply
save it into your Stockcharts.com scan area and save it
[type = stock] AND [country = US] AND [Daily SMA(60,Daily
Volume) > 500000] AND [Daily SMA(60,Daily Close) > 5] AND
[Daily Slow Stoch %K(60,3) <= 86] AND [Yesterday's Daily Slow
Stoch %K(60,3) >= 80] AND [2 days ago Daily Slow Stoch %K(60,3)
>= 80] AND [3 days ago Daily Slow Stoch %K(60,3) >= 80] AND
[5 days ago Daily Slow Stoch %K(60,3) >= 80] AND [7 days ago
Daily Slow Stoch %K(60,3) >= 80] AND [10 days ago Daily Slow
Stoch %K(60,3) >= 80] AND [Daily Slow Stoch %K(10,3) <= 30]
AND [Daily Slow Stoch %K(60,3) > 79.2] AND [Daily Close >
Daily SMA(50,Daily Close)]
nice! glad I could help, yes it spits back quite a bit, 40 - 50
results but with the market trending like it is, it's what you
would expect, plus it's no big deal to look at those 10 at a time
in the View on Stockcharts. With scans you can't make them
too stringent, you have to be willing for them to spit out some
crap, otherwise you will miss too many good ones
I have scans for the RVM setups, positive divergence and other
things, I may post those too
Would it be possible for you to write a 5 minute version of the
60/10 scan for intraday trades -- That would be really great too --
Then you could have a number of us running it and posting the
setups we're finding.
I wish man, seems that scans are limited to daily charts on
Stockcharts.com, if however scans can be written for intra day,
PLEASE let me know, I'd love intra day scans.
maybe write into to Stockcharts.com support and ask them.
Maybe that functionality is available with a higher
membership level, I don't have their highest one - write into
Stockcharts.com support and ask and if so tell me!
Matt -- unfortunately you were right -- I emailed SC and they
got right back to me -- doesn't matter if you have a PRO membership
-- they can't do intraday scans. A shame.

I'll write em and see what they say. I've got a real time membership but I don't know if it's the highest level. I'll find out and report back!
