Anybody could explain me why US $ moved up after decision of not
rising rates ? To be honest I was waiting to buy Gold bullish ETFs
- waiting for $ to start moving lower. Why did I get this
degree in Economics I wonder. ?
mulisko...the dollar caught a bid due to the FOMC statement that
was deemed by traders to be somewhat hawkish (leaving the door open
for a rate increase in December). This is not to imply it
will occur but simply how traders interpreted the statement.
No one was really expecting them to raise rates
yesterday.
longer term however i'm more bullish on the dollar based on the
weekly and monthly charts, something I've stated all year after the
March high, to me the weekly and monthly charts looks longer term
more bullish than bearish, we'll see how it plays out of course
Anybody could explain me why

Thanks Steve. I realized it. Just looking forward to rate increase sometimes in December should not be - in my mind - the reason for such a jump.
longer term however i'm more
