how would you analyze this chart? When I first saw it (a
couple of days ago) it did not yet break symmetry. After a
small retracement, it looks like it has met symmetry. Would
you count the retracement in the determination of symmetry or does
it have to be a straight line move?
From here would you treat this as a potential breakout above the
horizontal like or would you wait to see if it continued up to
definitively break symmetry and then buy on a higher low?

Symmetry is a guide..put more focus on patterns and making objective entries.
