Matt, is the GDX RSI 2 trade officially out today? It entered a
long per your email 2/20 last Wednesday and it was a nice gain in
the past 4 days. Today RSI 2 closed at 80.3 you said "If momentum
is red when the RSI 2 closes over 80%, the system will just
exit".
shoot - YES!! it closed out today, why, well because the RSI 2
closed back over 80% but the momentum indicator was still red, it
was flatening out and probably close to turning green but it did
not. Anyway no biggie, this is not at trend following system,
does mostly short term trades
here's the chart and statistics - sorry folks, I totally forgot
to look
However my students should have caught this trade - about 30 BPT

Otherwise, I'm not surprised, GDX simply bounced back to the 9 EMA where it reversed off
