probably should be in off topic, fyi - either they
came via email (unlikely) or when i logged into yahoo
finance. within a few moments i got hit with 3 trojans and 11
malware. and i didn't leave the page! i'm in my office so the
corpware picked it up. still had to have my computer 'cleaned' by
tech guy. apparently 'new' flaw in 'old' java, they cleaned java
cache, uploaded java 10 and deleted old java (in that order). had
to rescan computer. be careful out there!
I appreciate the alert too - looks like you were able to get rid
of the virus on your machine thankfully.
I don't even run Virus software since I don't like how it slows
my computer down and I only go to certain major website (no porn ha
ha), however if you got it off Yahoo Finance that's obviously a
site I would have considered save, so kinda scary
thanks hazbin1, the Java security problem is very real,
according to several authoritative sources. Best to at least
deactivate Jave Plugin, or even better uninstall compltetely until
the patch is available.
There is also a security problem with Flash Player - please
check that you have installed the latest version 11.5.502.146.
