CDE - Chart Link - heck of a move out of
that divergence low from July. Now nearing the 200 day.
Congrats if you held this one. Quite a few gold stocks
are up nicely off their lows, however CDE had a better move than
most of them. Most silver stocks have had better moves than
gold stocks
oh yeah, I wouldn't chase em now, hopefully you guys picked some
of these pms up a few weeks back or even last week. I would
focus on some that haven't yet moved strongly, there are quite a
few cap ones and juniors that could play some catch up.
Usually the larger cap pm stocks move first, then the small
cap juniors play catch up. however when playing the small
ones, while % gains can be better, they are also more prone to do
financing's and gap down etc
My guess would be that they will pullback when the market
finally pulls back. However I do think that a decent bottom
was put in place and that a pullback will form a higher
low.
as I said below, gold stocks should pullback once the market
pulls back, and we'v seen that today, as the SPX has pulled back
off the highs, GDX has as well
As I said earlier today when asked, I said gold stocks should
pullback once the general market pulls back, and we see that today,
GDX well off the highs
ax11- regarding
CDE etc, my comments, my comments were that some of the stocks had
come a long way and looked like they could pullback, especially
short term like they did today, but I didn't say anything about
shorting. I personally don't like shorting stocks that look
strong like CDE, but need a little pullback. You can sure,
but I'd rather focus on something else

Matt, many of these stocks now look overbought in the short term.
Many have had big moves on pretty low volume.
Are you looking for a pull back here?

gold is also pulling back; is there a best place to sell , or better to add to today, or wait til overnite on 1 cc?
