When the crash happened there were obviously a lot of "margin
calls". I am sure the market determined it a "fast"
market which means fills where all over the place because of the
panic. I have a small account at IB that used to be
very large until I transfered most of the money out. I like
there fills but here is what I don't like. When
the market crashed, I was putting in
basically "bogus" offers in for credits spreads.
What do you mean by "bogus". Well.. asking
13.65 credit for a 10.00 point credit spread .
Or 6.50 credit on a five point spread.
It isn't so funny if you are the one being liquidated on a
margin call for more than the spread amount. I was
lucky and got filled for numbers that you can't lose because the
credit was more than the spread. Anyway, the
point is , that is why I now have a small account at IB
instead of a large account. I don't wan't to take the
chance that they pull that stunt on me.
Interactive Brokers... Another one to watch out for??

Is there anybody who knows an (independent) expert who´s commenting this news ?
Is there a real risk that IB follows the path of MF Global and the others ?
Thanx
