I am new and confuzed as everyone but me is making dough on
GDX...is this something I make inference on or with? Trying to
grasp the brillance you guys have but am not jumping on right
technical analysis. Was GDX an old watch or should I just be paying
closer attention to Matt, Tom and Steve when they post? I need a
clue anyone!!! kevin
kevin currie- first off welcome to BPT, and nice to have you.
GDX and gold stocks have been discussed in every single
newsletter and we have two mechanical systems on the website in the
'
Mechanical systems' section of the website
When the GDX systems flipped back to a long, an intra day email
was sent out to everyone on the website to notify them. I did
not check to see when you signed up, however perhaps this occurred
before you signed up and you did not see it, that was on May
18th.
However that said, we don't throw everything on the watchlist,
we put most of the ideas into the newsletters and since we already
have two mechanical systems, I didn't feel the need to also add it
to the watchlist.
And of course depends on your trading style, you could have
either traded GDX via the systems, or no system. I personally
bought GDX before the system as I follow a lot of my intra day
charts such as daily, 60 min etc, as well as the ratio
trendlines.
Think of BPT as a magazine or newspaper: just like you would do
with a newspaper or magazine, you don't read all the articles, you
flip through and choose what you want to read. The same is
true with BPT, we have ideas for short term day trades, swing
trades, and longer term ideas, it's best to use BPT as a resource
of ideas and pick and choose the ideas and analysis that fit
you.
Now if you want, I can add GDX to the watchlist with stops and
other ideas, but I do cover this in every single newsletter with my
ideas about it.
Now should I have added some individual gold stocks to the
watchlist? Yes probably, however if you have been looking at
my newsletters, I have been covering a ton of individual names
for weeks and weeks that I thought looked good and I've mentioned
things that I was looking for
