andy - I'll ask my programmer to program those parameters into the RSI 2 strategy so that we can see.

I'm just a stickler for systems and statistics, and I would like to see what affect your idea would have on the system before saying that it's beneficial or not.

I've looked at a lot of scale in systems before and while the winning % is higher for the scale in, the total net profit is lower on these type of revision to the mean systems because of the times when the system would have bought at the lows, you don't end up having a full position.  Unless you are scaling into the trade for the next 4 days even if it is at higher prices.

send me the EXACT parameters to my email, because when I have it programmed, I need to know the exact parameters.  for example, do the scale ins only occur at better prices or do you simply enter the next 4 days no matter what?  I need to know the exact parameters because that's very important, thanks

     Matt,

Give me some time and I'll see what I can dig up.

Pushed for time here as I live in central Asia with an approx 10 hour time difference to the US. I get home from work at approx 6 PM local time and markets open at 6:30. PM closing at 1AM and I'm up for work at 6AM next day.

As the Irish say in one of their songs " It's a hard ould station"

    Matt,

Free e-book is called "How to successfully trade ETF's" By Larry Connors and Cesar Alvarez. It deals specifically with the scaling in RSI 2 model

I down loaded it to my kimble from Amazon for 99c I think. Don't think I can get it off my Kimble

All data is there for about 25 ETF's for long and short side trades for quite a few years. From memory the best one was ITF with a 94% success rate

Unfortunately from a pessimistic view it has not been much use for a while as everything has been overbought forever and nothing is below it's 200MA in my trading area. ( options so I need liquidity)

    NB

Search in stockcharts and there is a code to paste in for the advanced scan for O/B and O/S. although other scans will find OB/OS easily also

Hope this helps. had a coupla beers after work over here and hard to keep the eyes open, bed is calling zzzzz
