Strangely i have had a linkedin account for several years and
never used it, i forgot my password and its linked to an old email
account i can no longer use.
About 1 month ago i started getting emails from people asking me
to join up, seems more than convenient that i got all these invites
before the recent IPO which i didnt even know was occurring.
Anyway i decided to check it out again and it just confirms my
suspicions it is an upper class facebook trading on a PE ratio in
the upper stratosphere.

despite thousands of requests to deal with it. Does anyone ever
join except because of requests from people they already know? Is
there any value at all in this company? I don't see it, but would
like to hear if anyone does.

its a social jobsite. annnoying at times as you get job requests
from randon people in your network. mostly by ppl 3 degrees apart.
Also great to get your business name out there to an ever expanding
universe. All in all, value it offers is limited. Sorta like the
monster's of the world except you can post job listings for free.
easier to prescreen candidates as long as you have access to your
profile and network as references are listed for everyone to
see.
