    silver stocks underperforming

Posted by zwyss on 21st of Apr 2011 at 01:28 pm

I wouldn't buy slv anyway, I'd rather buy physical silver. But i am surprised that silver stocks have not performed well in recent days. When I look at silver stocks someone could think that silver has already corrected to 32$.

In my opinion that means that eather silver will correct sharply very soon or silver stocks will catch up soon and fly to the moon. I believe that big boys are shorting gold- and silver stocks at the moment. If GDX can manage the hurdle at 64$-65$, than it could go up very fast. I'm long Gold and Silver stocks but I do not feel comfortable seeing the stocks lagging behind. Maybe it would be better to wait until GDX breaks above 65$.....

    ha ha, hopefully you are

ha ha, hopefully you are being sarcastic.  I dug out my 100 oz silver bars last night and my go to the coin shop to sell a couple of those babies today or tomorrow LOL, but I'm being serious I may sell some.

Or you could trade them for some 1st strike Pandas...

the Oxford Club is offering them for only $150 an ounce ($130 in bulk). Or would that be throwing in the towel on the U.S. of A.?

It's been 5 yrs since the RSI on SLV has been this high.  The gambler in me just added to the wee short with AGQ at 334.

    You will soon be rewarded

Posted by coold on 21st of Apr 2011 at 11:51 am

You will soon be rewarded with at least 50-70 pts

    Yes, that is the plan.

Posted by pebs on 21st of Apr 2011 at 12:02 pm

Yes, that is the plan.  Actually, I'm hoping for one more push up on the SPX today to finish selling and SLV today to finish adding short.  Then I'm looking for it to get ugly for SLV in the short term.

    Come on!  I want that

Posted by pebs on 21st of Apr 2011 at 02:38 pm

Come on!  I want that blow off top!

    I called my local Jeweler,

Posted by matt on 21st of Apr 2011 at 02:47 pm

I called my local Jeweler, they are a pretty big dealer actually, they quoted me $45.10 an ounce to buy my silver bars and $1501 for my gold bars, that's not a bad price

    SELL!

    SELL!

    This is what happened in

Posted by coold on 21st of Apr 2011 at 12:17 pm

This is what happened in one of the parabolic moves on one occasion. Lots of similarities with this and the last time it happened

RSI hit 90+, $gold to $Silver hit lows when RSI is at 10

By past today is the day when it hits MAX on Silver but it can go a day or week without correction. Best is to get some protection by buying puts a long way away. If aggressive then buy weeklies of next week. The following doesn't include todays data and sure we would have hit 90 RSI and gold:silver under 10 RSI by EOD close
