haven't found the article, but CNBC snippet said S&P
concerned long term budget/deficit issues won't get fully addressed
until 2013 and that is too far along. not sure if they address the
debt ceiling issue come next month (or July which will be the
'final' deadline.)

S&P issued a negative debt outlook for the U.S.A. They have re-affirmed the triple A rating however for now.

S&P Revised US Sovereign Rating Outlook to Negative from Stable...but...ahem...affirms "AAA" rating. .
The SPX Futures dropped approximately 10 points on this news.
