suggested the importance of having some coins for emergency
barter...
so gold goes to $5k/oz and silver to $125/oz....your 1 oz gold
is impossible to use for barter and silver, well lets hope we get
more than a tank of gas for that one ounce or that the grocery
store cant tell that it is not a fake....
...and that some guy with his rifle and sidearm doesn't follow
you home....

In 1964, the last year that U.S. Coins were minted at 90%, a
loaf of bread costs 10 cents. That same dime today contains
$2.71 in silver. Comes pretty close to buying a loaf of bread
today. Not bad for protection.

Many stores in my area have signs up that they will not accept $ 100 bills right now because of the number of counterfeits in the system around here.
