Anyone know whether you can use Trader Workstation to build
charts w/ slow stochastics on it? It appears to me you can only do
fast stochastics, but I am new to TW and am not sure if I am
understanding what I'm seeing.

I don't use TW but most if not all charting software lets you
alter the parameters. Even though the label might say "fast" you
can still change it. That's what I do with my software.

but slow stochastics use a different formula for %k - it's
actually the %D from the fast stochastics (according to
stockcharts.com). So, changing the values for %K and %D in the fast
stochastics will not produce the same study as the slow
stochastics. I know, I tried it - trying to replicate Matt's SDS
chart of this morning. Anyway, Palladin, what do you
use, stockcharts.com? Or another service? I tried to use
freestockcharts, but again they only provide fast stochastics,
which I also verified by trying and failing to replicate Matt's SDS
chart. Ugh! very frustrating.

I use something called "Tracker" from a Canadian service I
subscribe to. I can change the D and K and match Matts
slow stochastics if the time frame is within 5 days and 15
min. Otherwise it defaults to monthly and daily and then it
differs. I can't change that.
Tracker has MANY other limitations (they have been promising an
upgrade forever) and I'm looking into esignal.
I also use stockcharts.com for research but I find it slow
compared to Tracker for day trading.
