Who knows if it is "manipulation" or not. I suspect, as we have seen in the past, you will hear of some hedge fund that was caught with highly leveraged positions in this thinly traded area.

Sorry I wasn't more expansive in my response. I skimmed the article and what always catches my attention is when superlatives are used to describe some trader or pundit. Maybe Dan is as wonderful in his calls and his trading as the article intimates but I would love to be directed by whoever wrote the article to his wonderful record as is documented by an uninterested third party. Personally I think no "claims" should be made without such evidence, but that is me and jmho. I'll get off my soap box now.

Yes what do you do when your CB strongly debases your currency? Problem is how other countries react to it like maybe China? Really you end up with a form of trade war?

My understanding is weak yen is forcing money into US equities therefore getting currency advantage on top of equity appreciation.

He is an absolute broken record and has been calling for a crash in the dollar for probably ten years now? He will probably be right but obviously less than the proverbial broken watch!
