Possibly, but I agree with your premise above, the UUP looks strong, I think that will force GLD down (along with other commodities). To me the biggest risk(of a big price rise) is all the craziness in the world right now might cause a flight to precious metals. That is less common now days, people seem to prefer BTC/ETH as an alternative. I made a pretty small trade because my certainty level is low.

Yeah, I believe whatever happens will be relatively soon, and a modest move. I betting on the downward move, which is why I prefer the options. If GLD volatility spikes it will help my spread and greatly increase the theoretical price. I agree the move could also be up.

Well that escalated quickly, not in the direction I preferred, LOL

Oops I was trying to fix my picture but deleted the whole message. I bought 161 puts expiring September, sold 161 puts expiring next Friday. Net Debit .67 cents. I can roll the short option weekly if I desire to minimize Theta(time decay) of the long option. Ideally the short option expires as the GLD moves down, I can then decide to take my profit or continue to ride the price lower. If GLD goes above 168 I will just take my small loss and move on. Happy to answer questions, don't consider myself an expert, but I have traded options a long time, LOL.

Starting the day buying a put calendar spread on GLD targeting the 161 recent low. GLD still looks fairly weak.

Showed a small loss for the day, I probably ended up overly bearish, but I admit I like what I'm holding. SDS shares I will hold at least until tomorrow but probably until Monday, and QQQ puts that don't expire for several weeks, I'll keep those until the markets prove me wrong or Theta starts getting too pricey. Plenty of growth stock plays, if the market spikes, I'll get some good moves in at least a few of them.

Took off the short portion of my QQQ calendar, leaving me with the long QQQ puts. Hoping the market makes up it's mind in the next few days

BMBL Holding up well today as well.

Not really going against it, I'm hedging some longs I don't want to sell(U, SNOW, BMBL among others). I already had a QQQ put calendar hedge on, I may have to sell as the mid price of the spread is 360. If they start moving down from current levels I will need another hedge, which is now SDS. If Matt's main SPY system triggers I will likely close my hedge then buy some SSO
