Thanks, looks nice. Good volume last couple of days.
Trying to figure out a way to go long with options. Vol
levels are not super cheap on it but not too unreasonable.
GDX hung in there after a nice move yesterday. I
think these things could be setting themselves up for a heck of a
run. Looking forward to Matt's take on the sector in the
newsletter.

vol on tech stocks is so cheap it's insane.
BRCM, SNDK, GOOG etc... I think buying Oct vol is
a 5 star trade right now. You might have to stomach
another couple of weeks of low vol but there are a few ways to win
now. Likely higher implieds in the next two months, and
some reasonable chance for volatility to gamma trade them in the
mean time.

Some risk sectors starting to go on TSX today. ARX
breaking out of a tight range (Nat Gas). Also MDW, a gold
stock we've mentioned before on BPT is looking good on nice
volume. SU also going on good volume. Risk
on?

It's funny you mention that, Matt - I'm a real believer in
momentum in life. It's interesting how when you're
having a good month trading you tend to get luckier and things just
seem to 'go right'. And the opposite is true. I
don't know why it happens but it seems to be about more than just
strategies. Maybe we've been in one of those Twillight-zonish
markets that just doesn't gel with the system but at some point the
historical performance averages will start to take precedence over
the divine intervention that has dominated lately.

I mentioned LULU yesterday as an interesting short
setup. It's happening. Big insider selling
reports are getting it going to the downside.

Volatiliy levels (calls/puts) are very very cheap on
everthing here guys. Commodity names
especially. Even after today's drop. Makes sense
because we're heading into a seasonally slow period, but given what
happened last summer and the way some of these charts are looking
it's a great time to pick up a few cheap puts just in case.

LULU is kind of coiling right below the 13 day EMA on lower
volume, just like it did a couple of weeks ago before it
broke. if it breaks below 58 it could get ugly.
Nasty candle setting up today too.

Interesting - the EUO started acting well last week and now the
TLT is breaking out. Are these predicting another ball
to drop somewhere soon? Maybe Roubini is right - economic
storm is unstoppable now. Economies will have to take their
medicine.
