They can announce they will buy back the dollar but with
what? More printed money? They can raise rates a token
.25 but that is meaningless and will be seen as meaningless.
They can raise rates 6% overnight and that would bring down the
commodities and strengthen the dollar but would probably kill what
is left of the housing market and whoever is barely holding on to
thier adjustables now. By the way, there is an election in a
couple of months and the incumbent party is the one who put the
current fed in place. No way they get elected if they raise
rates as people are struggling to fill thier gas tanks to get to
work.
I don't have the answer either mind you but I cannot see what
they can do.
