What amazes me is that

Posted by ssaffer on 28th of Apr 2020 at 11:16 pm

What amazes me is that Ford is the same price it was back in 2009.   Imagine having that dog in your trust for all these years.    I was looking at the new Bronco and thought it was really nice but they have so many outstanding shares floating and debt.   What would Henry Ford say?

I think with the markets pushing up a little, Gold and Silver going to have some softness but will be a better buy point for me.

One thing I will say, If you were a baby boomer who invested into the market since the 1960's.  You had the greatest monetary expansion (coming off the gold standard)  and bull markets known to man kind.

I shorted the gap up

Posted by ssaffer on 28th of Apr 2020 at 06:52 pm

I shorted the gap up this am as it smashed right into major resistance.  I closed just after the market when I saw that GOOGLE is blasting up and frying short sellers right now.    There should be a nice set up tomorrow am again if we gap up from GOOGLE, since it represents like half the SP500 and NDX now (half joking here).   I love  the am gaps.

What is the link to be able to listen to it?

Ponder this:  2.7 million Americans die

Posted by ssaffer on 28th of Apr 2020 at 02:43 am

Ponder this:  2.7 million Americans die every year. That is 225,000 per month on average. 56,000 deaths have been attributed to the COVID-19 virus, about 14,000 per month in 2020, with about a third coming from people living in Nursing Homes that have preconditions of heart disease, cancer, and other infirmities such that they likely would have died from a bad cold. The life expectancy of those living in a Nursing home is 1.7 to 3 years. 50,000 die on average from the flu per year. 331 million people live in the U.S. People die. It happens. People get sick. It happens. What right does government have to destroy lives, destroy dreams, imprison healthy people, remove civil rights, because of a bad virus that most people recover from who get it? None is the answer.

All the future charts defer

All the future charts defer to this one.

The Nation needs more WEED to get through all this craziness.

Matt - great article.  I will look to move some of my USO position over to DBO.

TSCO has been a great performer too.  New highs.  Bought $80 calls last month.

I bought a sizable position in USO on this am gap down.  I think in the months to come oil will be higher and not lower.    My personal feeling is we are getting a buy of a lifetime with oil prices this low.  I am looking at a final wash around $10-12.  If that happens I will continue to add to my position.

absent Covid-19, the markets were setting up for a big plunge, Covid-19 just accelerated what most times take 6-9 months in about 5 weeks.
