Other points of interest for me today - 1) can COIN hold its 50 DMA 2) can DAL finish above its STS

Hit my target on the rest of ELEV at 2.84. I usually hold a piece, but this one has just gone bonkers.

I don't know if anybody else stuck with (or got stuck with) AMPX like me, but it is perking up again.

Thanks to the bears in the crowd for their pessimism to keep fueling the market.

My big winner today -

Posted by mastermind on 11th of Jan 2024 at 03:08 pm

My big winner today - SAVAW, up 69%, but just a tiny fragment left over from my former SAVA position, so nothing to get excited about. ESPR is good, sold half. DRCT is the biggest drag. Bought the breakout in ITGR.

Sold halves of ALAR, ARDX

Posted by mastermind on 9th of Jan 2024 at 02:51 pm

Sold halves of ALAR, ARDX and SMCI. Rounded out buys yesterday in CLRB and ELEV. Bought the breakout in URBN, and ENPH, which is very close to support around its STS.

PDD is threatening a breakout over 150. I am in this already. MBOT also looks interesting for another move higher, with limited risk at the 50 DMA.

OK thanks for the info. That's better than a follow-on play.

CLRB is a very high

CLRB is a very high volume breakout from a pretty good cup and handle pattern. It is probably reacting to a couple of buyouts of cancer treatment developers - HARP and AMAM.

"The benchmark S&P 500 looks to be finding support at its 21-day line after ending Friday up 0.2%. Its loss of about 1.5% for the week was the worst performance after a weekly winning streak of at least nine weeks since 1963." Mildly interesting data from IBD, but I know it has been mentioned how rare 9 week winning streaks are, so I wonder how many data points there are since 1963.

Nonetheless, this does not bode well for the "first 5 days indicator", which will end on Monday.

Looking at trades today, I realized I top-ticked ZIM, selling at 15.24. That was quite a move.

It does not change on the list if it closes above the STS.

Looking at crypto stocks, ARBK

Looking at crypto stocks, ARBK holding up better than most. I haven't been in this one for a while.

Sold some SSNT, which has made a monster move. Still holding a piece. Predictably stopped out of DUST between the two morning reports, plus a few more longs. The bright side for me is that I had gotten too spread out at the end of the year with so many strong stocks. I'm using this pullback to consolidate into less positions with bigger size (as the STS tables are doing also).

The bigger issue to find out is if a bad jobs report is still good for the market. I would say yes as people are pinning their hopes on rate cuts by the Fed.

LPG & TNK breaking to new highs today.

For some reason my NYMO and NAMO don't look like that. I get lines instead of bars. But looking at NYSI and NASI makes more sense to me. The NYSi went red yesterday for the first time in a while. The NASI has not yet, which is surprising to me since the NASDAQ has been weaker than the NYSE so far this year.

SUN the best in the group.

I had a buyback on BTBT filled at the open.

Sold CELH on its surprising surge. A slew of stops, some auto, some manual. Not a great way to start the year, but I guess to be expected considering late year strength, of which I did take good advantage. I suppose lots of STS stopouts today, but most of mine were set higher than the system stops.
