Short Ideas follow up

Anybody willing to venture a guess as to where SPY, DUST, and QID will go in the next day or two?  They are moving in the right direction for our expected correction; but I have no idea what their targets might be for this move.

Any thoughts will be appreciated.

               TIA

Steve,

Based on the chart you show, can you make any prediction as to how much further gold may drop in the next day or two before recovering?

              Thanks

Matt,

Clearly we are off to a good start on DUST.  The question now is ... what are your near-term targets for it?

               Thanks

GDX has started a normal retrace withing the past few minutes.  Anyone willing to venture a guess as to how far it will pull back before resuming its upward climb?

TIA

there goes apple...

Could someone who is better at charting than I am offer some suggestions on MCP? The volume on this last rise looked good to me, and it appeared to me that it was bull-flagging. I need a good winner, so I bought some April calls on it. Now I'm wondering if I should sell half of those to see if it's going to fall back some. Any comments or suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks, Keith

I missed Steve's earlier post of MCP charts.  Just now found it.  He shows a gap on MCP at 35-37.

Does anyone have probable targets for MCP and REE?

Thanks in advance.

TSL Popped Today

Posted by keithw on 9th of Feb 2012 at 11:06 am

TSL popped this morning, and I sold my remaining shares in the 10.30's (lucky, not smart).  But looking at the volume patterns on a 60-min chart, I'm wondering if it is just bull-flagging getting ready to run towards 12?

I PM'd Matt, but decided to ask the group for thoughts while waiting for his reply.

I'm not good at this . . . any thoughts are welcome.

Thanks.

Chart Comments

Steve, I owe you a bit of an apology.  I went back and checked all the charts you and Matt posted today, and you DID add a comment to each one!  Sorry, I guess the few that you post that don't have a comment just stick in my mind.  But it looks like you guys have taken my suggestion to heart.  So thank you.

The only additional bit of info' you might want to include on ones like the "small bull flag played out" posted at 1:53 might be to suggest what a target might be for completion of that move.  This is especially true of the suggested Trade Ideas that you post.  Once they break out, I never know how far to expect them to run.  I work and seldom catch the initial breakouts, so often don't enter because I fear the run may be mostly over by then.

But you guys are doing better.  So thank you for listening.

Why is Ford (F) "not" showing on the Triggered list?

Posted by keithw on 6th of Oct 2011 at 10:19 am

Ford has moved up nicely the past few days and is now above the downtrend line.

Also, what is the target for this move now that it has apparently broken out?

Thanks

Me too.  I have gotten it on two different PC's - one at home and one at work.

Ron Paul and the Fed

VIDEO

Posted by keithw on 11th of Nov 2009 at 07:07 am

Outstanding video of Ron Paul.  We should all call our Congressmen and Senators TODAY and tell them to support him and his bill.  The Fed got us in this mess, and they are using the crisis to help themselves and their mega-wealthy buddies at our expense.  Having the Fed watch our money is like having a fox guard your chicken coop.  It is crazy.

Shortly after president John Kennedy wrote Executive Order 11110 to strip the Fed of some of their powers, he was assassinated.  That's how hard they will fight to keep us in the dark about the power they are wielding over our lives.

Support Ron Paul's bill today!

My wife and I tried a tempurpedic bed for 30 days and sent it back.  When it's cold, it's really hard until your body warms it up.  Then you sink into it and it molds around you so you can't turn over or change position easily.  Lay on your side on one of their pillows, and it will let your head sink into it almost to the point it seems to suffocate you.  That's our two-cents worth.
