Here is a posibility or two, you can trade the options, or you can trade the most weighted stock in the ETF.

If you ever come to this side of the world  I will take you to the local karting ring and see if you are able to drive the shifter as well as you trade.

I think that you have

trend

I think that you have to do your own due diligence and determine. But I will explain to you what is happening, there are a few ways to determine the trend or the lack off trend, you have three time frames to search; Tha monthly wich is now negative, the weelky wich is now positiveand the daily wich is now positive. The mkt is having a lot of trouble going up because of the monthly chart , and is what is causing the trendless or sideways mkt...  there is a contradiction between the diferent time frames. By now you might have listened to a few traders talk about SPX 944, if the mkt would have conquered that level in April it would have turned the monthly chart to positive and the overall trend of the mkt would turn bullish. I think that going forward the bulls will yield in favor of the bears, but they will come back in full force in May after a pullback. But that is to far from here...you want to know what is going to happen tomorrow... I know where we are heading but I will let Matt tell you in his night update... Hey I know that I am not an orthodox trader and my phrasing is funny not to mention my spelling...terrible but it has not been an obstacle when it comes to trading. I understand that ravun is going to make you all experts... yes he is the right guy for the job mind you he tested in F1... I only have a shifter kart that I drive with the kids only for the sake of getting as close to the floor as I can before shooting sparks.

I argue with the few words that I can use providing english is not my language, but however unprofessional I might sound now you have a tool that can help you track the mkt in the right direction and hopefully cut a good few of the loosers you have been taking ...and ...the end result of the unorthodox exchange of opinions is that now you have a better tool to trade... and that IS professional. I sincerely hope that you can apreciate it and make good use of it.

That's it Michael. Why are you taking all that unnecesary beating I do not undersant you guys, what are you trying to prove that you have nerves of steel ?  You have only proven the rest of us that you can take loosers, all the loosers the mkt can throw at you and still make up with a couple of winners... fine guys you made your point now move on and start trading in the direction of the mkt... using your MA crossings or whatever you chosse or suits you best I am not against what you are doing you have a fine tool but you are not using it at it's full potencial... capicci ?

That's fine Michael it is all about making pesos and as long as you are OK there keep it up...  but just for thoughts, do you think it would make a more profitable trade if you just traded in the direction of the intermediate trend and filtered those no-go ones? It is not to dificult to spot the intermediate trend... Oh well I know that you do not discriminate fine but give it a chance in paper trading and see what comes out you can do that ... ops watch it another whipsaw coming your way. Chao.

Ok but you will still

Ok but you will still have to deal with the old fashioned guys like me I am the kind that likes to sell resistance and buy support, and while the mechies run out of nails in the chop chop I listen to Mme Butterfly and wait for the right set up.

I supose that those using automated buy/sell programms must have had a "nice" day...wise up guys you are sitting ducks for the boyzzzz. By the increasing number of whipsaws we see every day. Do us all a favor, turn off those automated trading platforms and face it: trading is more than coming home to count your blessings.

Some mechanical trading singals have become contrarian indicators... play it the other way round and you will make money.  What a POS.

This one is either a crowded house trading or something but lately it goes from one whipsaw to another, it used to pay but now very risky.
