The initial reaction here was to sell the Dollar on the weaker
than expected numbers and thus Gold caught a bid after the
report.
The Labor Force has been declining which helps to reduce the
unemployment headline number - no hiring and alot of government
handouts impact those looking to join the Labor Force.
dollar fell sharply so did stock, these jobs numbers are bad
news so why is it trying to recover. Surely they are not gonna try
and rally this market after all that.

CNBC's London reporter says Euroland unemployment also went over
10% even with the flood of stimulus and the FX is moving
higher. He said he did not understand what is going on.
Well, he isn't alone. When everyone realizes their
respective currencies are worthless pieces of paper; then, there
may be enlightenment.
I worked for the last census in 2000 and was paid $10/hour. the
sentiment was more favorable to the government back then. Probably
$25/hour is the minimum that I would consider doing it, if I were
totally broke and needed _that_ kind of money badly. People could
lash out at you now, just because you do it for the government.
It's not pretty.
