Mechanical System SMS Alerts

Can somebody recommend a site or software to generate sms alerts whenever there's a MA crossover? I wanted to use Timetotrade.eu but it doesn't seem to work very well. I'm not getting the signals at the correct time. I think ProRealTime.com would work well but it's fairly expensive. Any other suggestions? Thanks.

I think breakpoint is planning to implement a system notification functionality that will be able to email or sms system triggers in real-time...if this is important for people on the blog i encourage you to post...perhaps that can get this kind of functionality accelerated schedule wise...so post or contract matt if you think this kind of thing is important to you.

    BPT Alerts

I know Matt has talked about adding this functionality and he told me the service will eventually be available at an extra cost. However, I don't know how close they are to having it setup. If it's going to be sooner than later I would opt to just wait for their service.

For me an alert system is necessary to use the mechanical trading systems. I work full time and I'm often away from my computer, so I would need the alerts on my mobile. Having the alerts directly from BPT would definitely be a great service for me. I would be the first one to subscribe ;)

    BPT alerts

The alerts would be great for the watchlist, and I look forward to having them available.  However, I think you are mistaken if you think alerts would make it possible to trade the mechanical systems.  Maybe you could fool around with taking some trades on the swing systems, but you certainly couldn't use alerts to trade the EOD systems.  The amount of slippage you would incur, compared to the price at the open of the candle -- which is what the sydtems are tested and based upon -- would be so large and haphazard that you would have no way of knowing whether what you were doing would even be profitable over time.  if you're serious enough about wanting to try the systems to set alerts and keep your phone on and be ready at a moments notice to place an order with your broker..........just take the effort to automate them.
