I use IB for trading and I'm generally happy although there are
some tricks for exiting AMEX traded ETFs in early trading that I'm
still not too clear about (rp -- if you figured this out can you
post the steps?)
Charts are pretty rudimentary though so it's good to have
another account for that -- I suggest Ameritrade with Strategy
Desk. Also has screeners and basic backtesting.

I just open an account with IB, so i could future data feed to
Ninja. And use them to trade my futures...I guess it is good to
have one additional broker as backup...
