    Silver Slammed As 'Someone' Dumps $1.4bn In 'Paper' Gold Futures...AGAIN!! - Following "good" Housing data, "bad" CPI data, and "ugly" wage growth data,

    - someone decided to dump.... $1.4 billion notional... in gold futures markets
    (sending the price to 2010 levels), ....sending silver plunging also, will hang around to see if the S1 provides a bounce...

    Gold & Silver don't like deflation and slowing growth. No mystery. People sell when they see it.

    ...not to be confused with deflation.

    The monetary metals are generally a safe haven when governments act in a perfunctory or tyrannical manner. Such as now.

    Except for now only the East seems to be aware of it, and he who holds the gold makes the rules.

    PMs work best with rates

    PMs work best with rates down & dollar down. If the Fed makes the mistake of raising rates into a global growth slowdown, you get rates up dollar up - plus high odds of a recession. Perfunctory works both ways.

    Of course, markets can anticipate (2000-02), consolidate after 50% moves (2004-05), answer margin calls (2008), etc., but the big trends hold.

    The best hope for PMs here is QE4. That's the biggest joke about the whole bull market in Gold & Silver - it was as Fed-induced as the equity markets. And silver was a huge central planning bubble. If they burn the dollar more than the ECB burns the Euro, gold will rise again.
