Got caught blind sided on this one this morning. When I place a
trade, I obviously factor in the risk/reward of that trade and set
my stop and exit strategy before I put in the trade ... but things
like this, are the risk of doing business. The other thing I try to
factor in, is down gap, which is why I never got more than 6-8% of
my portfolio on any given position. Obviously got stopped out this
AM on this news "Announces Proposed Convertible Bond Offering and
Intention to Redeem 6.0% Convertible Debentures Due September 30,
2014"
Well stated Mia..I always suggest glancing at balance sheets of
companies (especially small biotechs and miners for stock offerings
into strong moves).
