thnx ascr- I must be missing something. When I'm on SPY page
here-
there is no "membership" tab for me. The only time member is
even mentioned is in the upper left hand corner-- green box-- where
it lists among other things "members home" which brings me to
the general site home page.
I don't see any page that has system settings or
notifications.

you have to click on "Spy swing system" instead of the "trading community" link first. after that you should see the Membership tab.
