I really hesitate to mention geo politics on a technical
website...so please forgive me in advance. But it is my
understanding the EU energy chief is German and strongly anti nuke.
I think there is some conference ongoing in Europe which was
scheduled and it may be that the rumor was really an "opinion" or
"characterization" of the EU energy chief, which is why CNBC is now
reporting a EU spokesman says minister has no specific information.
I think it just indicates what a hair trigger these markets are
on.
