Welcome to OPEX Week - Wild action overnight which carried into today's session. Pardon me but I've been up since Midnight and now running on fumes.
Overnight, we saw both ES/NQ spike higher (exhaustion candles) followed by a retest (lower high) before rolling over. NQ formed a small HS top and tumbled over 400 points while ES slid over 60 points. At the same time Gold and Silver Futures were running hard and managed to hold onto most of their gains during RTH. The GDX setup from earlier in the week unfolded nicely. Tomorrow is OPEX which tends to be choppy and one day where I tend to retrench from trading much as past whipsaws have taught me. Tomorrow is the largest Quarterly OPEX ever but more often than not price action tends to pin in a narrow range.
