I have been buying and selling gold stocks since 1974. I
have been a financial advisor for the past 19 years. My best advice
is if you are long term bull on these stocks, as I am, you should
always have some in your portfolio. You can use this current period
to rebalance when we get a sell signal. Secondly, you should always
have a trading position either short or long. If things get bad you
can use puts to hedge your position. Matt's systems provide great
guidelines.
After analysis of the P&F charts, those stocks closest to a
buy are: GOLD @ 93 and SSRI@ 13.50. GOLD typically turns first
because of it's high price and 1 dollar box size. Would probably
get a Renko buy before a BPGDM buy.
If MFN opens 13 or lower this AM. I give this a 95% probability.
This it will cause the stock to register a P and F sell
signal and bring the value down to 62.06 (18/29) and register
a sell.
You have to be careful with CEF because it has a
few surprises. First it will have a secondary from
time to time and stock could be down a few percent. Also it has a
lot of silver so you won't catch a gold move.
Advice - buy CEF on the dips for your long
term holding.
Trade GLD instead.
Additionally, if gold can break it's recent high it should hit
1900 easy.
Reason - it will be able shake off the effects of higher margin
requirements.

GGN is primarily an income vehicle. They write covered calls. It should not be used for capital appreciation. I've been following it for years.

It appears that the Long Term tools haven't been updated since the 50day EMA has just passed the 200day EMA.
Looking for someone to doublecheck.

SCCO down

BVN hitting 36 triggers a point and figure sell signal and probably a GDX sell.
GDX and GCXJ
Posted by jaysz on 23rd of Dec 2010 at 09:38 am
GDX and GDXJ made rather large income distributions. This accounts for price descrepancies. (GDXJ - 2.93, GDX - .40) If you are short you owe this.
