I tend to agree that the Fed will not allow the Euro to devalue
and hurt US exports. The Fed will intervene at some point and not
allow the EUR/USD to get too far out of wack. I believe those
calling for EUR-USD parity will be mistaken. It is a race to
the bottom for these currencies and the US is waiting for the EU to
act first.
Remember, inflation helps debtors while deflation helps savers.
The US gov is the world's largest debtor so it is easy to see
they path the Fed will take.
I guess a rumor about its naturally raised meat (or lack
thereof), caused a massive selloff yesterday. Anyone know
more about this? The chart looked good until yesterday.
I have not been able to follow the market very closely so any
input would be appreciated.
I'm no RE expert, but I have heard that mixing RE and IRAs
should be avoided due to the problems of
mandatory withdraws when the IRA matures. How do
you liquidate a portion of a RE investment to meet required
redemptions? Be sure to check this out.
The Fed has to be happy with today's action...stocks,
commodities down, and bonds up. They cannot lose control of
bond yields, or they will be in deep do-doo.

Did I miss posts about this today? Gold broke above it's trendline today.
Remember, inflation helps debtors while
Bernanke was very worried about deflation today. How can commodities and metals stay up for very long if he is right?

Daily and 60 min charts of futures. Right at triangle support.
Doesn't this triangle seem to be long in the tooth and should have broke by now?
