Steve have you considered adding NQ, I know you did give some
levels a week ago. Next question:- Have you ever looked at the
weekly levels? Could they be useful for the longer term trader.
Yes thanks to Matt who posted the URA monthly chart quite some
time back. I have a Jan (24) URA 19/24 C spread and also a CCJ
Jan(24) 27-40 c spread. CCJ hit an all time high back in 2007! Only
problem I now have is to stay alive until they expire. LOL
Thanks Steve for providing the NQ levels as well. those of us
who trade NQ futures find it to be very useful. Could you post a
chart showing the demand zone. I would like to compare mine.
Matt, some time back you were also testing the reversion to mean
systems on a basket of ETF's other than the present SPT/ES systems.
With the present low volatility they are probably not as
prolific as the KISS systems but please dont forget them
Have been buying positions 6 months out. Fortunately for me the
tide has turned and both CCJ and URA have moved from max loss for
the June expiry to max profit! Phew! But the trades in Dec and Jan
are looking very very good. Went with wide spreads on the basis of
these monthly and weekly charts!! It was tough though in the
beginning of June!
Diginomad I am amazed you missed the 29th of January 2018. The
market turned down from 2871 off an evening star pattern which
Steve and Matt made very clear in their newsletters. Soon
thereafter we had a trend long signal. Suffice to say, I got
slaughtered. Then we hit a massive wick low of 2529 on the 5th of
Feb. So how far did it go. On the 12th March 2018 we saw the
retracement fail at the 78.6% Fib of2808. Needless to say, this
changed my trading completely and instead of 20-30 contracts
overnight I now only trade 3-4 on a signal or on any of my other
systems. I also make use of quite a few of the macro contracts.
Lesson learned, Sleep overnight dont sweat over every trade.
Future contracts for MNQ, MES, MYM and M2K are due to switch on
Friday 9th June. Why is there always such a big difference in price
between the close of the present contract vs the new contract.
Presently over 40 points?
Hi Pattellee, There are a few chaps here who are serious option
traders but my sixpense worth is that I will be buying 0.9 deltas
with 2 weeks to expiry. That way the 2-3 day period expected will
show the highest return. Also the 2 weeks would be safe from too
much theta(time) decay. However if later testing shows longer
average periods for the trades we may have to go out a bit further
in time. Obviously the best thing to do is sell calls (sell
signals) or puts when buy signals are given with one week of time
to run or even 4 weeks to gain more premium. This could be a
problem unless you have quite a large trading account. I am working
on my trading plan for all these considerations and would be happy
to share with you when done.
Most impressive Matt, this will keep me going for so much longer
LOL. Looking forward to getting signals on these systems too. Any
idea of how many of them have future contracts?
The only problem I have with this improved system is that there
are only 76 trades in 20 years just short of 4 per annum. No
chance of me being around at the end of 20 years LOL.
But no doubt that the higher the profit factor the fewer
signals. I do have enough systems to trade to live with that.
