when you are making a chart in Stockcharts, you have to select
'price' in the indicators, and then type the formula in
there. And you can also set the ratio to either be above or
below the stock price from there as well, see the attachment.
You can also set the ratio height as well as put a MA on it
etc. I like to place the 20 EMA on the ratios.
remember that
ratios work well for
everything. For example, here's a chart of the
Building Materials Sector with the ratio of that sector to the
SPX. Noticw how well the ratio trendline breaks work at
picking major tops and bottoms
