I look at the Chandelier exits as a second opinion on Matt's
STS. I adjust my stops when the STS changes, but I look at the
CHNDLR and generally set my stops to the tighter of the two. For
stocks that aren't on the STS tables, stops are based on a
combination of CHNDLR and the MAs - 9, 21, 50.
So I use similar settings to what mastermind does. Default in
Stockcharts is "22,3,0"....this is for Longs. If you wanted to have
a trailing short for Stops, then simply change the code to
"22,3,0,SHORT". If you adjust the 3 in particular, it will tighten
the stops.
Remember just like STS on KISS, Chandler Long Stops can go down
if for example you are in a long trade and price starts falling.
ISo it needs regular monitoring. Not sure I explained that bit
well!
