bitching back and forth politics. One could argue should not
have attacked IRAN in the first place. However that said, to me
unfortunately you almost have to go all the way. What I mean is, if
the same regime stays in power, you deal with this again years from
now.
analogy would be: let's say you were a mob boss and had war with
another family and you killed 80% of that family. Now you
want to negotiate at truce? How's that gonna go - even if you
do, that 20% level will make it their life's goal to get revenge,
seems like you gotta finish it completely.

Yeah, even though I started this, sounding like I was griping, I
agree that we need to finish the job. They keep shooting missiles
left and right as badly as they are battered. Clearly we need to
take out the rest of their military capability. And doing whatever
it takes to open up the Strait of Hormuz should immediately relieve
some pressure.

Khomeini returned from exile [from the UK] to Iran. Britain tried
to “insure” itself further with the new Islamic regime by avoiding
any association with the Shah.
If you know how to "finish Iran once and for all" ... email it
