For some time now, I've endured Tradestation's infuriatingly
slow, prone-to-constantly-crashing , ancient 32-bit trading
platform, primarily because the algorithms that I use -both written
follow- were in EasyLanguage, even though I executed primarily with
IBKR. For kicks, I got myself a trial of Multicharts (64-bit)
platform just to see if it was any better. Lo and behold, its
like night and day. Almost effortlessly, I've converted the first
half of my algos (20 or so) to PowerLanguage (MC's version of Easy)
with the help of Chat GPT - within the first few hours of using the
platform. The only issue i'm having right now is data - i can
use Tradestation's data feed pretty easily, but IBKR's isn't
configured that well yet. Going to see if I can get it sorted out
with them this afternoon.
Anyway - I'm posting this since I know that some of you
(ESPECIALLY YOU MATT/JAMES!!) use Tradestation and have had the
same issues that I have. As traders, we tend to be creatures
of habit. No one wants to go out and "learn" a new platform.
I get it, but the step up in performance is immediately
noticeable and the conversion process relatively easy.
Anyway, might be worth looking into!

commented that some of the custom stuff he's done won't transfer
over there but I still think it's worth having another look at
it

I send Tradingview Alerts to Google Cloud Platform which process
the alerts and sends trades to Interactive Brokers Gateway.
It is fantastic. Scales to no end.
