man Starbucks - I maybe buy something there a handful times a
year only. First off I hate the lines, where I am rare not to
have a line of 20 cars, I refuse to wait 30 min in a drive thru (I
guess that's a good problem though for Starbucks). Second the
typical latte I would be is like $6 to $7, I have a professional
coffee machine at some that grinds the beans etc, so I just make my
own.
I did go a couple times recently, but it was only because I was
up very early and I bought the wife and kids breakfast sandwiches,
which they like. Otherwise it's a handful of times a year
I think it was Steve who told me a story, his wife use to
be an elementary teacher, and one of her coworkers were struggling
with paying bills. Obviously elementary teachers do not make much,
but anyway they had her write up a budget, and they found out she
was going to Starbucks like once or twice a day - meaning she was
spending like 300 to 500 a month at Starbucks! If you are on
a tight budget that 300 to 500 can push you over the edge LOL.
the point is - that adds up and many people don't even
realize it or think about it

Starbuck’s new reward program sucks and may drive away loyal customers and show up in future earnings IMO, as a long time SBUX trader and customer.
