Commodities:  Platinum is up an incredible +179%!!  Silver is up +174%  Gold is up 72.7%, Palladium up +110.5%, All part of Matt's Macro Vision Swing plays

The big news everyone is focused on is the move in these metals, especially Silver!  First off Platinum is up an amazing + 49% in December, and Silver is up +40.3%!!! Folks, these moves are NOT normal!  Shows you that something is severely out of whack. It's actually frightening to me longer term.  The move in Silver and a lot of other metals is being driven by unreal demand from the Chinese market and silver has been trading at a huge premium in China. Normally this 'arbitrage' would be quickly eased but it hasn't been, so these are unprecedented times. This is being further exacerbated by the typical 100:1 leverage in the futures market to actual holdings.  The demand for silver is so strong that many firms in China have tried to take delivery of physical silver from futures contracts and this has created an insane short squeeze as the futures exchange does not have the amount of physical silver to meet delivery demand!

Not sure what to make of that but if anyone has insight your thoughts are appreciated...

good point.  There was a Facebook post today on our City FB page, asking if anyone knew of places willing to pay close to spot prices for silver - the post commented that local dealers were only willing to pay $15 to $20 lower than current prices - basically no dealers were willing to pay anything close to current prices but instead $15 to $20 lower
