This is a facinating argument.   Accelerando (2005) by Charles Stross a good but terrible vision of the singularity argues that after the Singularity humans will split into traditional and future economies.  Human economy 1.0 and human economy 2.0.  

Economy 1.0 remains rooted in the biological, material, and social frameworks we recognize today. It is based on labor, resource scarcity, and traditional notions of ownership and value. Economy 2.0 operates in a post-biological domain where intelligence itself becomes the primary asset. In that world, valuation isn’t measured in capital or commodities but in raw computing power, the ability to process, simulate, and think faster than others.
