I was busy this morning taking the kids to a camp, otherwise I
might have sent out an email and text alert to take some profits on
the MES short for the Exhaustion, however kind of late now, now
sure how many people would get the alert and react in time before
the Jobs # - at this point might as well wait until it closes out
or depends on the reaction and move today after the Jobs number
yeah - but again I don't even think it's necessary, the systems
are close bar system, I think they will close out just fine.
I threw it out there for nervous nellies.
I am taking 1 contract off only out of the 4, but I do
think it's kind of unnecessary
I get why you are doing it, but if people are wanting to follow
the system itself it complicates things. When the live trade
data is showing "system + Matt discretion" vs pure "system" trades,
what's the difference in performance?
do what you want, follow the systems and your plan. if you
choose to stick 100% to the system signals, then do that. I will
report when it closes - for now they are looking to close today as
long as price closes below the 19 day MA, which I think is a given
at this point

Actually it looks conceivable (though not likely) that the SPY
finishes above its 19 DMA (though I have the 21 on my chart and 19
would be a little tougher).
I will. I am trying to evaluate if it's better to follow
pure system or system + discretion. I'd assume that
your adjustments have been better over time, but when you say you
are doing it for the nervous nellies, it gives me pause.
This was the second longest streak in history for the S&P
500 trading consecutively above its 20-day MA, #69 days. The
longest streak was 76 days, which was back in 1997.
I even tested this on the Dow Jones back to 1920, so 105 years
and the stats did not change
