This is a manual trading system I've been doing that has been
very effective, it fits my style, might not fit yours. However, I'm
close enough now that I'll put together a video and Zoom webinar on
it. I need to get some slides together and examples, and some
writeups. Very simple method that is fractal across any time
frame you want and any instrument. I have the indicators on
Tradingview and Tradestation, however on Tradingview the indicators
are private, but I'll make those public or at least invitation only
for BPT members, I won't charge for them. I'm not sure I want to
make them public or not yet. If I don't make the indicators public
then I'll give you free access to them. The here is to keep the
amount of indicators very small, otherwise you get
analysis/paralysis. I have the squeeze indicator on here but I
don't trigger off that. And I have Demark on here but doesn't busy
up the chart
I had taken a nice short last night on the market, I showed
Alvin one of the subscribers here last night when I took the trade
based on the daily setup BPT MA pinching into the underside of the
ribbon, and took my trigger off the 130 and 60 min via the cycle
indicator confirmation. The key is using 2 or 3 time frames;
you use the larger time frame as your signal, then a time frame 3
to 5 times lower where you get your trigger confirmation from a
confirming cycle. Also, best if you can see an abc move on that
lower time frame
the trade I took last night my signal was the daily, while
trigger's came from the 130 min and 60 min
again the method is fractal. I could use a weekly, daily and 1/2
day for larger time frames. Or even use a 15 min and 5 and 3 min,
or a 5 min, 2 min, 1 min for a day trade style
stops are placed below the cycle (for a long) or above it
for a short. Again, there is some subjectiveness there about
how far above or below do you set it. And for exits there's some
subjectiveness there as well: You could trail stop up, or base it
on a target, or something very simple such as a 2:1 or 3:1
reward to risk ratio. For example if your stop was 1 point
away, your target would be 2 points or 3 points hence 2:1 or
3:1.
again I have to put some slides and other stuff together then
I'll do a video and maybe webinar

Matt had mentioned me in his prior post regarding the MA
pinch/cycle trading system. He was kind enough do a Zoom mtg
earlier this morning to share details of the system and even did a
live SPY trade (using 1 min SPY chart with 30 sec and 15 sec SPY
charts for confirmation and entry).
In a nutshell, the 1 min chart was showing a cycle support with
MA ribbon going from bearish to bullish and then coming back into a
pinch. The support cycles on the 30 sec and 15 sec charts supported
the pinch shown on the 1 min chart with various cycle supports, MA
pinches in a positive trend and bounces between support to
resistance along with a demark 9 on the 30 sec. Some sideways
consolidation continued on the 30 sec and 15 sec charts before a
breakout proceeded on the 1 min chart. Once a trade was entered
(0dte OTM $2.00 option), the stop was right below the 1 min support
cycle doji. After about 10 mins of consolidation, trade broke out
to the upside (and quickly took profits). This was also confirmed
as the 5 min SPY chart was showing a pinch coming in. Key point
though, setup was clearly obvious on the 1 min, then 30 sec and 15
sec charts confirmed the setup and allowed for an appropriate entry
all while having a very defined stop (either using the 1 min chart
or the 30 sec charts would have both worked in this setup).
It works on any time frame that suites your trading style, and
can be with stocks, ETFs, futures, options etc. With the right
timeframes and discipline, this is an incredibly powerful system to
have. Incredible potential with having a defined risk! To me, this
is a game changer.

Thanks to you and Matt as well for this. Would you please
provide the exact time this happened on the 1 minute? I would love
to be able to track this myself and I'm sure others would as well
TIA
I wouldn't focus on a 1 min - it's not about that short of time
frame, it's just one we did because it set up at that moment and
didn't have time to wait for a larger time frame setup - I
generally do larger time frames, the method is fractal so can use
weekly, daily 1/2 day, 130 min, 60 min, 15 min, whatever.
I will do a webinar on it and provide the 2 indicators i use for
folks for free

Yes been messing with it today. Watching different smaller time
frames (5 min/1min). And took a couple successful long SSO trades
off the 15 min and 5 min charts with MA ribbon pinches and cycle
supports validated by 1 min chart

Matt: While we are on this subject I made a copy of your chart
in Trading View and have been using it quite well, it's named Only
cycles,ribbons..... Is that the set up you are using when
discussing this system or do you have one that is further refined?
BTW a webinar on this would be great!
earlier today I did an impromptu Zoom meeting with one of the
BPT subscribers and gave a live demonstration of my MA ribbon
pinch/cycle system - which is oppositive of chasing breakouts or
breakdowns, it's like buying a pullback into support with a very
tight stop, or shorting a bounce into resistance with a very tight
stop. The breakout and backtest method basically but very
refined and simple, does not use bunch of indicators where you have
analysis paralysis, it focuses on price action and uses a two
confirmation methods. It's fractal and works on any time
frames that suit your trading style and can be used on stocks,
ETF's, futures, ODT options etc. showed a few examples today and he
did one example live on a short time frame that worked out
perfectly.
he commented that he was going to reply to my original post from
last week, I responded first to let folks know he would be
commenting on it
Can you post a link to a tradingview chart with these? Seems as
most of the ribbons, etc are either stockcharts or the one you use
for multiple charts. If I'm mistaken just let me know. I made the
move to tradingview...really should've stayed at StockCharts..to
utilize the ones posted in newsletter, etc. Thanks...just at your
convenience.

That's the ticket!!!! As I've mentioned to you before I'm a
member of the 12 Step PA group - paralysis analysis is my
disease. I miss soooo many trades trying to have confirmations and
usually either miss the trade or take profits for quarters instead
of dollars. I would love to have access when you're ready to share.

I didn't take the trade.

I didn't take the trade. Was just viewing it live. It would have been around 1130ish plus or min 15 mins.
Just to clarify, the setup just happened to be there when we saw the 1 min chart. Was unplanned and worth the risk given the extremely tight stop.

yeah it's really cool - alvinjm27 here I've been going over it with him some, he's practicing looking for the setups.
probably best to go over when the volatility dies down a bit, things are nuts right now
