FYI Mean Reversion RSI 40 went long on SPY on Friday!

I didn't see this on Friday, but the RSI 40 system triggered a 1st entry long on the SPY ETF.

Why would the system go long after an up  day? That's what this system does, it only goes long on a strong reversal candle, does not go long on a sell off low like the other systems.

Anyway it's Sunday night, I'm gonna send this out, not sure how many will see it until tomorrow.

there's a couple options:  A couple brokers like IB or TD Amertirade allow you to buy ETFs right now at this time of the night!  Or one could take an MES contract in place.  Depending on how futures are tomorrow morning I may add the trade to the website - if futures are gapping up huge I'm not gonna bother, but if they are flat or slightly down I will add the trade on the website

the stats are decent on the system, see the second image showing the stats

Hello. Mos t active SPY and MES

Hello. Mos t active SPY and MES systems have taken 2nd entries as of today 3/4. I'd like to verify if the RSI 40 SPY system has taken a second entry. I did take a 1st entry as suggested in your post of March 2.  A second entry, if it comes, may help make up for the losses on the first one  Thanks.

    Given that Matt didn't mention

Given that Matt didn't mention that system, I think not. But there are a couple of other 2nd entries.

    here's an example of what

here's an example of what that RSI 40 system looks for: The RSI 14 spiking below 40% for one bar then spiking back up -forming a V-formation, and has to occur on a strong reversal candle

there's a lot more to it than that such as other indicators have to match certain conditions, but this is one of the main things, just showing an example of what one of these look for.

and how did I come up with this? Many years ago Steve and I noted the RSI 40 % area tended to be important for the 14 length RSI and I spent time scouring charts and noticed this V-action spike below 40% and back up, which tended to market decent lows

    The system statistics page on

The system statistics page on the website only shows RSI Oversold, but nothing for the RSI 40 system.  I see it got sent in a note, but would it be possible to have all the system statistics updated/listed on that statistics page?  Thanks!
